Antica Distilleria Sibona Liquore Alo-È

HK$0.00

HONEY AND ALOE VERA, SLOW-INFUSED IN SIBONA'S OWN GRAPPA — DELICATE, FLORAL AND QUIETLY ADDICTIVE.

Among Sibona's forty-two expressions, the Alo-È is deliberately the gentlest. A liqueur of real delicacy, it combines aloe vera and natural honey with the distillery's own fine grappa — a base that gives it structure and depth that a neutral-spirit alternative simply could not provide.

At 24% ABV it is approachable without being lightweight. The honey brings warmth and roundness; the aloe a fresh, softly herbal quality; the grappa base an anchor that keeps things genuinely interesting.

The infusion is made slowly, allowing the botanicals to express themselves fully without shortcut or compromise. Pale, clean and carefully made — carrying the same attention that runs through everything Sibona produces, including the considerably stronger bottles on either side of it.

Tasting notes

Pale straw in the glass, clear and bright. Honey leads on the nose — warm, floral and rounded — with a fresh herbal note from the aloe lifting and opening it.

On the palate it is smooth and gently sweet, with a natural texture that avoids the cloying richness of lesser liqueurs. A softly cooling quality mid-palate, grounded by the grappa base and its quiet structure.

The finish is clean, light and quietly persistent.

Country: Italy
Region: Piedmont
Product style: Liqueur
Base spirit: Fine Sibona grappa
Principal botanicals: Aloe vera, honey
Colour: Pale straw
Alcohol: 24% ABV
Serving temperature: 6–8°C
Bottle size: 50cl

Perfect serve

Serve well chilled at 6–8°C in a small tulip-shaped liqueur glass or over a large ice cube in a rocks glass. For a simple, elegant serve, a measure over Prosecco makes a floral, low-key spritz with genuine Piedmontese character.

Food pairing

The Alo-È's gentle sweetness and herbal freshness suit light desserts and fruit-forward finishes. Keep pairings delicate — this is not a spirit that competes with rich chocolate or heavy pastry.

Honey panna cotta

Fresh fruit tarts

Lemon or almond biscotti

Mild soft cheese with honeycomb

Light floral sorbets

The honey notes find easy echoes in desserts built on similar flavours, while the aloe's softly herbal quality works naturally alongside the brightness of citrus and cream.
