The Lamborghini name may travel quickly, but the wines belong to one particular place.
The estate sits close to the border between Umbria and Tuscany, surrounded by rolling countryside near Lake Trasimeno. Its vineyards are planted with varieties including Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grechetto. (tenutalamborghini.com)
That gives the range a strong Italian heart, with enough freedom to do things differently. There are generous reds, fresher styles and bottles made for celebrations. Some are easy to open and share. Others ask for a little more time.

We chose Lamborghini Wines because there is much more here than a famous name. There is Ferruccio’s restless ambition. His return to the land. And an Umbrian estate that has been making wine for half a century.

Ferruccio Lamborghini bought the estate in 1968, after stepping away from the automotive world and returning to his first roots: the land. Set near Lake Trasimeno, where Umbria meets Tuscany, it became the setting for his next great project.

WHY WE CHOSE lamborghini
Let’s be honest. The name gets your attention.
But a famous badge will only take a wine so far. What made us want to work with Lamborghini was the substance behind it: a genuine estate, proper winemaking history and a beautiful part of Italy running through every bottle.
These are not generic wines dressed in clever branding. They come from vineyards planted by Ferruccio Lamborghini, a man who approached wine with the same drive he brought to everything else.
He wanted to do it properly. No shortcuts. No half measures.
That still shows today. The wines are modern, polished and made to be enjoyed, but they remain closely tied to Umbria and its landscape. They give people the excitement of discovering the Lamborghini name somewhere unexpected, then give them a very good reason to come back.
from horsepower to horse power
Ferruccio grew up in a farming family. Long before the tractors and cars made his name famous, there was agriculture.
In the late 1960s, he fell in love with an estate between the southern shore of Lake Trasimeno and the medieval village of Panicale. He bought it, moved there and set about transforming it into a modern agricultural estate. Vineyards were planted, a new winery was built and the first official vintage followed in 1975.
Ferruccio was never especially interested in doing what everyone else was doing. Alongside local varieties, he planted Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon—bold choices in Umbria at the time. That mix of Italian tradition and outside thinking still shapes the wines. (lamborghiniwine.it)
In the mid-1990s, his daughter Patrizia took over the estate and pushed the focus on quality even further. Vineyards were replanted and respected winemaker Riccardo Cotarella joined the project, beginning a relationship that has now lasted for more than two decades.
