Sibona Grappa Riserva Speciale di Barolo Millesimata
IF BAROLO IS THE KING OF WINES, CONSIDER THIS ITS FINEST HOUR.
Millesimata — vintage-dated, individually numbered, produced in such limited quantities that every bottle is essentially a one-off. The marc comes from Barolo-designated Nebbiolo grapes, hand-selected by Sibona's own team and distilled entirely in-house in copper pot stills under the guidance of their master distillers. Each bottle is presented in Sibona's signature decanter with a wooden case and numbered parchment certificate confirming the bottle number and bottling year.
What follows distillation is a study in patience. Long ageing in stainless steel preserves the grape's integrity before the spirit moves through progressively smaller oak casks — first medium, then small — where it concentrates slowly into something deep, burnished and unmistakably Piedmontese.
The result is as close to a great Barolo as a grappa can get. And that is saying something.
Tasting Notes
Deep, intense amber. The nose is full and expansive — vanilla, wild berries and toasted oak — with real personality and depth. On the palate, mature and elaborately structured: deep, velvety and perfectly balanced, with harmonious woody notes throughout. The finish is long and persistent, with lingering vanilla and tobacco. Exceptional.
