Sibona Grappa Riserva Speciale di Barbera Millesimata
SOME BOTTLES HAVE A NUMBER. THIS ONE HAS A STORY BEHIND IT.
Millesimata — vintage-dated. Every bottle in this series is tied to a specific harvest year, a specific expression of Barbera marc from a specific moment in time. Production is deliberately limited, every bottle individually numbered, and each one presented in Sibona's distinctive decanter with a wooden case and a parchment certificate confirming the bottle number and bottling year. This is not a standard release. It is a collector's grappa.
The marc is Barbera — one of Piedmont's most characterful grapes, harvested fresh and distilled in copper pot stills. What follows is a long, patient ageing process: first in stainless steel to preserve the fruit, then progressively into smaller oak casks where the spirit deepens and concentrates over years. Structured, mature and deeply expressive of its vintage — a meditation grappa in every sense.
Tasting Notes
Deep, intense amber. The nose is mature and elegant — cocoa, vanilla, dried fruit and gentle spice, layered and unhurried. On the palate it is soft, rounded and velvety, with harmonious vanilla notes and a warmth that speaks of long oak ageing. The finish is deep and persistent. Sip by sip, no rush required.
