Sibona Distillato "Armonia di Langa" Millesimato

HK$0.00

THIS IS NOT A GRAPPA. THIS IS SOMETHING RARER.

Where grappa is distilled from marc — the grape solids left after pressing — Armonia di Langa is made from the whole grape. Predominantly Moscato from the Langhe hills, distilled in copper pot stills to produce a spirit of genuine delicacy and aromatic richness that grappa, by its very nature, cannot replicate. Millesimato — vintage-dated, individually numbered, produced in such limited quantities that each bottle comes with a parchment certificate and a wooden case. A distillate that exists in a category almost entirely its own.

The process is unhurried and precise. Distillation in copper bain-marie pot stills is followed by an extended rest in stainless steel — to preserve the Moscato's floral, fruit-driven character — before a long ageing in oak casks of varying capacity that adds structure, depth and the warm complexity of good wood without ever smothering the grape beneath.

The result is a spirit of remarkable harmony. Which, given the name, seems entirely appropriate.

Tasting Notes

Luminous, warm amber. The nose is fine and elegant — floral top notes of Moscato blossom, ripe stone fruit and honeyed sweetness, underpinned by gentle spice and toasted oak from the ageing. On the palate it is soft, velvety and deeply harmonious — fruit and wood in perfect equilibrium, with a long, contemplative finish that invites another sip before the last one has quite faded.
