Weinrieder Weissburgunder Ried Birthal 2024

HK$0.00

RIPE PEAR, GRAPEFRUIT AND DELICATE NUTTINESS. ELEGANT SINGLE-VINEYARD PINOT BLANC WITH STONY MINERALITY AND A SUBTLE SALINE FINISH.

Some wines demand a particular occasion.

This one is considerably less difficult.

Weinrieder Weissburgunder Ried Birthal 2024 is a single-vineyard Pinot Blanc from Austria’s Weinviertel. The south-facing Birthal vineyard has deep, water-retentive soils composed of heavy loam, clay and sand, providing the conditions required for balanced ripening and consistent concentration.

Vines up to 40 years old produce fruit with purity, structure and a clearly defined mineral character. The grapes are selected by hand, carefully destemmed and gently pressed before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.

Pear, grapefruit and apple lead the nose, accompanied by delicate nuttiness and restrained citrus. The palate is light, clear and elegant, with moderate acidity, stony minerality and a subtle saline note around the finish.

An extremely versatile Pinot Blanc.

Conveniently unaware that some wines prefer to be difficult.

Tasting notes

Bright straw yellow with green reflections and a subtle golden shimmer.

Ripe pear, grapefruit and apple are joined by delicate nutty notes and a restrained touch of citrus.

The palate is dry, smooth and elegant, with gentle fruit sweetness, moderate acidity and stony mineral definition. A fine saline edge brings freshness to the harmonious, persistent finish.
