Hans Wirsching Iphöfer Kronsberg Scheurebe Alte Reben Trocken 2024
MANGO, PASSION FRUIT AND GRAPEFRUIT. CONCENTRATED OLD-VINE SCHEUREBE WITH CITRUS FRESHNESS, AROMATIC HERBS AND A LONG, HARMONIOUS FINISH.
History has left a particularly aromatic mark on this vineyard.
Hans Wirsching Iphöfer Kronsberg Scheurebe Alte Reben Trocken 2024 is a VDP.Erste Lage wine from one of the estate’s most significant sites. In 1952, Hans Wirsching planted the first Scheurebe vines in Franken here in the Kronsberg vineyard, establishing the winery as a regional pioneer of the variety.
That longstanding experience is evident in a wine combining aromatic intensity with concentration and balance. Produced from old vines, it offers greater depth and substance while retaining Scheurebe’s distinctive freshness and exuberant fruit.
Mango, passion fruit and grapefruit lead the aromatic profile, joined by fragrant lemon balm and delicate herbal notes. The palate is powerful and concentrated but remains harmonious, with dry precision and fresh acidity providing structure.
An expressive Franconian speciality.
With more than 70 years of local expertise behind it.
Tasting notes
Bright yellow with youthful green reflections.
The nose delivers an expressive combination of mango, passion fruit and grapefruit, accompanied by fresh lemon balm and delicate herbal notes.
Concentrated and full-flavoured on the palate, with ripe exotic fruit, citrus freshness and fine acidity. The finish is harmonious, aromatic and persistent.
