Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier
A CLASSIC BAVARIAN WHEAT BEER WITH BANANA, CLOVE, YEASTY MALT AND A REFRESHING, CREAMY FINISH
Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier is the signature wheat beer of the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest brewery, where beer has officially been brewed since 1040.
Naturally cloudy and pale amber in colour, it pours with a fine, lasting head of white foam. Aromas of ripe banana and spicy clove rise from the glass, followed by delicate malt and yeast notes.
The palate is full-bodied yet refreshing, combining fruity banana, clove spice and soft malt with lively carbonation and a smooth, creamy texture. Balanced and highly drinkable, it is regarded as a benchmark example of traditional Bavarian Hefeweissbier.
Tasting notes
Enticing aromas of banana and clove lead into a full-bodied, naturally cloudy wheat beer with delicate malt, fine yeast and gentle fruit flavours. Lively carbonation brings freshness before a smooth, creamy and balanced finish.
